This lecture taught us about accretion and subtraction. Accretion is an increase in size of a design plate by addition of material along a convergent boundary, whereas subtraction is the cutting out of shapes and design.

We also learned about:

-          Ambiguous images: Optical illusion images which are crafted to exploit graphical similarities and other properties.

-          Repetitive design

-          Symmetry and asymmetry

A project was given to us on that day for making 2 cubes with the application of accretion and subtraction. Cube A must have subtraction element whereas cube B must have accretion element. The cube must be 250mm × 250mm × 250mm. These 2 cubes will be joining together side by side, so the final product will be 250mm × 250mm × 500mm.

These 2 cubes seem like 2 dices joining together
